All Gaucho Reunion A Great Success! - Over 2,000 alumni participated in the 2nd Annual All Gaucho Reunion.  All over campus alumni were enjoying the myriad of events and reconnecting with one another.  The Alumni Association thanks everyone who attended and we look forward to seeing you again next year.  Go Gauchos!

The 2008 Alumni Association Awards Banquet will be held at 7 p.m. June 6, 2008, at Corwin Pavilion, UCSB University Center.  A no-host reception begins at 6:15 p.m.  Tickets are $80 individual, $700 for a Reserved Blue Table and $1,000 for a Reserved Gold Table, which includes two bottles of wine and preferred seating. Prof.  Helgerson, Beloved English Professor,Passes Away - A member of the English department faculty for 35 years, his academic career was marked with a variety of honors.  A tribute to Professor Helgerson is posted on the English Department's website click here to view. A fund for graduate students has been established in his honor. Donations can be made to "The UCSB Foundation" and indicated "for the English Dept. Richard Helgerson Graduate Achievement Award fund" and sent to Joni Schwartz in the English Department. A memorial service to celebrate his life  will be held on May 23rd from 4-6pm at the Faculty Club.

All UC Alumni Happy Hour - The UCLA and Cal Alumni Clubs of New York present: The 4th annual All University of California Alumni Happy Hour.  It's time again to join fellow Californian's at our annual All University of California Happy Hour. We're happy to invite alumni from each of the UC schools. That's right Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz alumni are all welcome. We want to welcome all undergraduate professional/graduate alumni. And no, we didn't forget UC Merced, they just don't have any alumni in the NYC area yet. California Digital Library - We are pleased to announce a new Library benefit for Alumni Association members. Alumni Association members now can get online library access to more than 2,000 full-text online journals and magazines such as the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, & Wall Street Journal through the California Digital Library.  Check out the Fact Sheet (pdf) and the Titles List (pdf).
