UCSB Alumni Celebration of Recreational Sports

 

Santa Barbara, CA- UCSB Recreational Sports will be hosting the first ever event commemorating its sport club and recreational athletes May 21^st. Alumni are invited to attend a weekend of festivities, beginning with a reception on Friday evening and continuing Saturday with activities, tours of the new recreational facilities, and a hall of fame induction for 22 Sport Club honorees.

 

UCSB Recreational Sports director Paul Lee hopes the event will reunite friends and rekindle the bond students enjoy while participating in sport clubs and intramurals at the University. “I believe it's time to celebrate,” says Paul. “From the ‘trailer rockers’ to Rec. Cen II and everything in between, alums have left many legacies at UCSB and I want people to see these accomplishments.”  

 

Nominations for hall of fame athletes and reservations for the weekends’ festivities are now being accepted. For a nomination form or additional information, visit the UCSB Recreational Sports website at http://www.par.ucsb.edu/recsports. Nomination forms are due February 14^th.
