Alumni Affairs Support Building Strong Ties Between the University and Its Alumni

Mosher Alumni House
Nobel Prize winner Carol Greider '83 (center) is welcomed back to campus to receive the UCSB Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Award.

The Alumni Affairs Department is tasked with creating meaningful engagement opportunities for UCSB's 172,000 alumni. As state support has rapidly declined, the role of alumni philanthropic support, advocacy and volunteerism has become critical. The UCSB Alumni Affairs department is responsible for many worthwhile programs that drive alumni engagement such as Career Connections, Alumni Publications (including the quarterly Coastlines magazine), All Gaucho Reunion and numerous student events.
