Culinary Icon Alice Waters to Headline Reunion

Alice Waters will appear at UC Santa Barbara at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at UCSB Campbell Hall. An Evening with Alice Waters will be the keynote event for the 2013 All Gaucho Reunion when she will discuss her work with healthy foods in schools and the Slow Food Movement. Culinary pioneer Waters, who spent her college freshman year at UC Santa Barbara, will receive an Honorary Alumni Award in recognition of her outstanding success and contributions to the culinary world and advocacy of healthy food education during the event. Tickets for An Evening with Alice Waters will be available at 10 a.m. Feb. 1. The tickets are $10 for general public and $5 for UCSB students. Scandinavian Odyssey — June 25 - July 11, 2013 — Begin with exploring Copenhagen, then ferry to Norway to see the western fjord district.
