Criteria- The nominee must be a graduate or former student who has successfully completed 12 quarter hours of work at UCSB or its predecessor institutions (UCSBC, Santa Barbara State College, Santa Barbara State Teachers College).
- The nominee must have achieved exceptional distinction in a given occupation or service over his/her lifetime.
- The nominee must be able to attend the award ceremony.
