UCSB Alumni Association Membership As a UC Santa Barbara alumnus, you are already apart of the global Gaucho Alumni Community. However, membership with your UC Santa Barbara Alumni Association allows you to stay better connected and makes UC Santa Barbara stronger. Your Alumni Association supports many valuable programs, services and scholarships, all of which is made possible by the support of alumni like yourself.

How membership allows you to STAY CONNECTED:

1. Catching up with old classmates on the Gaucho Online Community
2. Joining a regional chapter or constituent group
3. Attending the All Gaucho Reunion
4. Reading Coastlines, the Alumni Association's award-winning magazine
5. Accessing over 2,000 journals, magazines and newspapers electronically via UC's digital library -including The Economist, MacWorld, Sports Illustrated, Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, Time and many more
6. Taking part in one of our networking Events, such as the popular "Speed Networking" event

How membership MAKES UC SANTA BARBARA STRONGER:

1. Supporting Memberships have a third of the membership dues ($20 for discounted groups, $25 for regular membership) going directly to student scholarships at UCSB.
2. Membership dues provide necessary funds to allow UCSB to be involved in "UC Day" where UCSB alumni advocate to the California government on behalf of UC and UCSB.
3. Membership dues allow us to organize the All Gaucho Reunion
4. Membership dues have allowed us to undertake a new student scholarship drive - the UCSB Alumni Association Student Scholarship Fund (AASF), with a goal of $3 million to be raised for student scholarships.
5. Membership dues help raise our "alumni giving" percentage which has a positive effect on our overall ranking in the US News & World Report university rankings - we are currently the #9 public university in the country
6. Membership dues support our student engagement initiative, which include Study Nights at Mosher Alumni House (with coffee and snacks), Class T-shirts for incoming students, a free breakfast for seniors on "Senior Day," emergency loans for students in financial hardship, support of Graduate Student Appreciation Week, and much more
